OKNA TSAHAN ZAM new CD : "SHAMAN VOICES"
Produced by Claude SAMARD The great canadian singer Loreena Mc Kennitt not only loves Celtic music. She enjoys traveling and meeting people of other cultures. We can hear this beautiful blend of musical influences on her records . To illustrate a video clip of a recent trip in Mongolia she had the idea to have the song "Edjin Duun" sung by Okna as a soundtrack. "East-West fusion with a difference...done in a vastly better way than any other fusion with overtone singing that I've heard" "Shaman voices" stands out for its confidence in its traditional sources while bringing them into the contemporary world, as they say on the cover, it's a journey in the steppe, and an unforgettable one" " Une fascinante épopée en terre mongole...Ce disque honore la mission qu'il s'était assignée: transmettre sans l'avoir dénaturée cette musique appartenant aux temps mystérieux d'un monde qui survit encore à travers elle".
